Heritage Center

Two parcels of land were purchased located on Loop 254 West; the Cox and Barrett properties together would become the Heritage Center.

Plans were implemented for the Heritage Center, a property that would include  offices and meeting place for the organization, the Ruth Terry Denny Library-Research Center, the Visitor Center and Ol’ Town.

The Heritage Center is in an excellent location just 2/10 of a mile off of Interstate 20 at exit 349. When completed, this will be a valuable tourist attraction allowing the organization to promote all of Eastland County and surrounding areas, and will help the organization be self supporting.

In February and March of 1995,

funds were raised to fulfill an option to purchase property

for the Heritage Center.
